Bluetti just announced their two new power stations AC300 and AC200 Max (a successor to AC200). Bluetti already has a bunch of battery stations ranging from as small as 50,000mAh to as high as 3000W and with the addition of these two, they literally cover every range and type of power station. Find more info about these products here.

About the Launch

Bluetti is launching 4 different products two of which are portable power stations (Bluetti AC200 MAX and Bluetti AC300) and two expandable battery modules (Bluetti B230 & Bluetti B300).

This is the first time Bluetti came up with expandable batteries for its power stations.

About the Products

All of these products have a minimal Bluetti’s signature AC series design. I feel this design is much better than their previous generation (EB series).

AC200 Max

This is the upgraded version of their AC200P model. AC200P was originally launched on Kickstarter and it gained millions of dollars in funding which is now a standard for Bluetti. Unlike the previous version, AC200 Max has some technical spec differences.

  • Features a continuous output power of 2200W and surge capacity of 4800W
  • Features 100W PD 3.0 USB Type C port (perfect for charging laptops)
  • Upgraded MPPT controller that can now handle up to 900W solar input
  • Built-in 30A NEMA TT-20 outlet (I have no idea what it is but it basically helps RV enthusiasts)
  • Smartphone controlled – This is huge and I was waiting for this smart feature for a long time. AC200 supports Bluetooth based connection to AC200 max power station and you can control the device without having to touch the battery. Supports both Android and iOS. Personally, I think Bluetooth based control is less useful than Wifi.
  • AC200 Max supports expandable battery packs. That means you can buy the external Bluetti batteries and add them to AC200 max. Max expansion up to 8192Wh capacity (supports up to 2 B300 batteries). This is a useful feature.

AC300

This is a new model. Unlike any other Bluetti power station, AC300 does not come with an internal battery pack. This might come as a shock to many people but Bluetti says they are taking this bold move to have modularity and battery expansion. Also, if the battery gets old or damaged, you can just replace the battery instead of throwing away the entire power station. Going forward, this type of modular design might become common.

  • Does not come with a battery, so it is more like a UPS
  • You can add up to 3 Bluetti B300 batteries to this power station. So the max battery capacity would be 12.3 kWh which is crazy.
  • You can also connect two AC300 power stations together. So the max battery capacity can increase to 24.6 kWh
  • Up to 3000W pure sine wave power capacity, 6000W surge. If two AC300 are connected together, this doubles.
  • Supports up to 2400W solar input
  • Smart control by Bluetooth as well as Wifi

Note: You need Bluetti Fusion Box Pro to connect two AC200 power stations together

AC300 is good enough to power an entire house, even your HVAC system

Launch Date and Availability

According to the press release, all 4 products will be available directly on their official website. Bluetti decided not to crowdfund these.

Directly from the press release,

Orders for the AC200 MAX and B230 battery modules will begin in late August 2021 and
will be delivered as quickly as three weeks. The BLUETTI AC300 and B300 will arrive
later in September 2021 and will also be delivered as quickly as two weeks.

Also, a mysterious new product is coming out in late 2021. Bluetti calls it ‘APEX’ but I am not sure if it is another power station or something else. Fingers crossed.
