I’ve been using the DPS 3D Insight Gaming Chair for nearly three years now, and it has been an absolute delight. My friend and I both stumbled upon this gem at Costco back in August 2020, and we couldn’t resist buying it, especially with the fantastic offer going on at that time. We paid around $160 each, and it was undoubtedly a deal.

It’s funny that we went to Costo to get groceries and other essentials but ended up bringing two of these chairs home

Note: Today, Costco sells the upgraded version of this chair. Almost all the features are the same as mine. I recently visited a friend who has this upgraded model and he agrees with my review.

Also, most of the images I am attaching are taken now, i.e after ~3 years because I didn’t take any pictures when I first bought it. The current images doesn’t do justice to this amazing chair

Assembly

The chair was neatly packed in a disassembled state, conveniently fitting into the box, which made it easy to transport in cars. All the necessary tools were included in the package.

If I remember correctly, it took us about 45 minutes to assemble each chair. The included user manual was enough. I wish I could attach some assembly pictures but sadly, I forgot to click some.

Comfort

Right off the bat, I fell in love with the chair’s comfort and versatility. When I first got the chair, it was COVID time and I had to work from home. I was easily spending 8-12 hours a day sitting on it. Now, I spend 3-4 hours daily. The chair has been my companion for work, movie marathons, gaming sessions, and pretty much everything until I got a couch.

The 3D lumbar support is my favorite feature. I can sit for hours without experiencing any backaches or discomfort.

I truly appreciate the adjustable features, which allow me to change positions throughout the day. Whether I’m sitting straight with a focused posture or just kicking my legs up for a more relaxed position, the chair accommodates all my preferences.

In comfort level, this chair cannot compete with mesh back chairs but overall, I’d say its great for the price point in the gaming category.

Build Quality

Considering the amount of time I’ve spent on this chair and the various activities I’ve used it for, it has held up remarkably well. After nearly 3 years of constant use, there is some minor wear and tear on the front edge of the seat, mostly due to my habit of putting my legs up too often.

Also, the headrest is not as sturdy as it was before

However, aside from that, the chair looks great and functions just as smoothly as when I first got it. All the adjustments, from height to tilt, are still as seamless as ever.

I’m sure it can go a few more years easily.

Worth Buying?

If you’re in the market for a top-notch gaming chair without breaking the bank, the DPS 3D Insight is an excellent choice. I noticed that it’s now priced at $199, slightly higher than what I paid for it three years ago, but in my opinion, it’s still a worthwhile investment.

This is the pic after 3 years of use. Some tears and dust around.

I also love the fact that it comes in three different colors—Blue, White, or Gray—so you can choose the one that matches your style and complements your gaming room vibe perfectly.

If you don’t dislike leather chairs, I would totally recommend DPS 3D Insight.
