The Anything Pant by Barbell Apparel – A Hands On Review

A comfortable pant is all you need when you are outdoors. Most people miss this when they purchase a pant only to repent later. If you are someone like me who hates pants, reading the next few words will absolutely change your thoughts. In this review, we are gonna explore The Anything Pant by Barbell Apparel. This pant is not only comfortable but also has a lot of cool features that you may find interesting.

Out of the many pants I own, only a couple are lightweight and comfortable. I live in Arizona and guess what, people love shorts here so much so that you can see someone wearing shorts at any place. Okay almost any place! The only reason why I hate pants is because of the lack of comfort. For me, Jeans are heavy, cotton is warm and chinos are the go-to. Everything changed when I used The Anything Pant for the first time. These pants are extremely comfortable. In fact, it is so lightweight and breathable that I sometimes forgot that I was wearing pants lol.

Features

Let us see some of the coolest and most useful features of these pants. All of these findings are personally tested by me after using it for a couple of days.

Extremely Comfortable

As I said in the introduction, these pants are the most comfortable pants I have. The credit for comfort should go to the clothing material, stretchable design, and breathable stitch. The pants come in two types of fits, Straight Athletic Fit and Slim Atletic Fit. Mine is Straight Athletic Fit because I don’t like them tight like gym wear.

These pants also feature a 4-way stretch. This means you could stretch the pants in either vertical or horizontal direction giving you the freedom in any position, standing, sitting, sleeping, driving, or whatnot.

These pants are suitable for almost anything, be it office, hiking, road trip and whatnot

High-Quality Material

These pants are made of 100% polyester material. Even though I am not a huge fan of polyester, I liked these pants because I felt them like cotton-polyester blend. The stitches are perfect, the buckles are strong, the metal button is okayish and the pockets are meticulously designed for the best use. I am pretty sure these pants would last years without having to worry about the stitches.

Lightweight and Packable

Believe it or not, these pants weigh only 14 ounces or ~400 grams. So you can probably pack tens of them in your check-in bag. Since these pants are wrinkle-resistant, you can roll it and pack it easily.

Lots of Pockets

I love pockets partly because I carry a lot of gadgets with me. Fortunately, The Anything Pant features 6 main pockets and 1 tiny pocket inside a pocket.

It has got two traditional side pockets and two traditional back pockets. On the right side pocket, there is a hidden media pocket for keeping stuff like smartphones.

Inside the left side pocket, there is a tiny pocket for storing coins maybe? That pocket is not visible from the outside though. Also, there is a hidden zippered pocket to keep your valuables.

Wrinkle and Stain Resistant

These pants are wrinkle-resistant, thanks to the polyester material. If you ask me how good is the wrinkle resistance, I would say it is not bad but don’t just count on it.

Also, these pants are stain-resistant. That means if you accidentally spill a liquid, most of it just drops away without absorption. This is due to the use of water-resistant coating on the fiber material. Even though stain resistance is good to have, don’t expect it to be great because when I tested by pouring some water, it was all wet, including my legs. So, I was slightly disappointed with this feature.

Other Misc Features

These comfortable pants come in 5 different colors and two fits. Apart from the pants, there are shorts too. In fact, I tested out their shorts as well but I like the pants more than their shorts.

Also, The Anything Pants are suitable for both men and women. They also have different sizes available. The pants are machine washable and iron friendly but the manufacturer doesn’t recommend dry cleaning or tumble drying.

Final Verdict

Now that you know about the product, it is time to see if you really need it. If you are like me who values comfort more than anything, these pants are for you. If you are only into the looks and other features, you may pass. In terms of material and stitching quality, these pants are top-notch. Also, with so many pockets, you can keep all of your stuff without hassles. The media pocket and the hidden zipper pocket are very useful, at least for me. After using the pants for a while, I am planning to get a few more. All I care it the comfort and The Anything Pant deliver it.
