Govee Glide Y Lights
I recently had my hands on these Y lights from Govee and totally fell in love with them. Unlike any of their previous modular lights, the Glide RGBIC Y lights feature a metallic surface that makes the blocks look so aesthetic even when the lights are off.
Since these are modular lights, you can connect multiple of them together to make different, complex shapes and styles. The base version comes with 7 blocks but I think you can add up to 21 blocks.
Glide Y lights feature 40+ scene modes and everything can be controlled through their smartphone app. The app is also used to control and configure music modes, scenes, daily scheduling, and more.
Kohler’s Sprig Shower System Infuses Your Shower
When I was wandering around Kohler's booth at the consumer electronics show, a soothing smell blew from what seemed to be a shower head. I went in to check it out and fell in love with it. Meet Sprig, the gadget that infuses your shower's water.
Sprig can be attached to most shower heads and it is very easy to install. Does not require electricity or batteries. Just snap it on, insert the pod and turn on the water stream.
There are 3 types of pods available, each representing a mood. If I'm not wrong, each pod lasts for about 8 uses. This is a bit of a recurring subscription type product so I'll be careful before I jump into it.
WORX Landroid Vision – Robot Lawn Mower
The Landroid Vision from WORX is one of the most hi-tech robot lawnmowers you will find. It looks very cool, has great features and mainly, comes from a reputable brand.
WORX vision, unlike most other lawnmowers, does not require a boundary wire. You can set the virtual boundary around your home with their app and you are done. It is a powerful device that cuts grass to the very edge and can climb over small obstacles like water pipes, stones, etc.
The mower comes with many smart features. You can manually control it or schedule it. You can even have the device run at night (it has 2 bright lights). If the battery runs out, the mower auto returns to the base to recharge it before resuming mowing.
Some of the other features include obstacle avoidance, multiple zones and a smartphone app.
The product is expected to be out in the market in May
Cruz BlenderCap – Powerful Portable Blender
A bottle cap that blends. That's exactly what BlenderCap does. BlenderCap is a standard-sized bottle cap that doubles as a portable blender. You can use the BlenderCap with Cruz's bottles or attach it to your own. The cap features a powerful motor and a battery system that allows you to blend on the go.
The control is very simple. You can push the button to turn on the blender and double-press it for hands-free operation
The motor is so powerful that you can blend ice cubes in seconds. Its motor has about 18k torque (I guess it's about 300W power) which is insane.
In one charge, you can blend up to ten 32-ounce bottles full of ice. With BlenderCap, your next smoothie is just 10 seconds away.
The product was personally tested by me during CES2023 and this thing is a powerhouse.
Ampere Dusk Sport – Tint-adjustable Sports Sunglasses
Ampere showcased their latest Dusk Sport sunglasses during this CES show and it is a cool one. These glasses feature tint-adjustable lenses. You can either change the tint of the glasses yourself or have it set to the automatic mode in which, the tint automatically changes based on the light around you.
Dusk Sport also features a directional speaker that projects audio directly to your ear while keeping your ear open.
When I tested, the audio quality was good. I liked it. There is a smart voice assistant built-in too.
Dusk sport is best for outdoor enthusiasts including bikers, skiers, surfers and many more.
The product should retail in Q2 of 2023 and is expected to be priced at $299
ORBA 2 – Portable Electronic Multi-instrument
Having this gadget is like having 100+ musical instruments in your pocket. With ORBA 2, you can play 125 different instruments, create your own music and publish it to the world. The device is highly portable, eliminating the hassle of dealing with messy cables as it operates on battery power.
The button you see in the center lets you switch instruments. At a time, you can have 4 instruments that are preselected through the phone app. Also, you can record your own instrument by feeding it audio samples.
ORBA 2 has a speaker built-in. The audio quality is not bad at all. But if you want to spice it up a little, you can connect it to a bigger speaker or a headset via the audio jack port.
Connecting to your phone via Bluetooth, you can access presets, instrument controls and more.
