When I was wandering around Kohler’s booth at the consumer electronics show, a soothing smell blew from what seemed to be a shower head. I went in to check it out and fell in love with it. Meet Sprig, the gadget that infuses your shower’s water.
There are 3 types of pods available, each representing a mood. If I’m not wrong, each pod lasts for about 8 uses. This is a bit of a recurring subscription type product so I’ll be careful before I jump into it.

Moen Smart Shower Digital Controller
Moen has been producing some of the most helpful smart home products for a while now and I recently got a chance to check out their latest smart shower. Unlike a traditional shower, this one connects to WiFi and can be operated in different ways.
There are three methods of shower control but the most useful one would be through voice assistants like Google/Alexa. The Smart Shower also has temperature control. Meaning, you can ask the shower to set the water temperature to 100°F and in seconds, Moen shower automatically adjusts the temperature.
The shower is customizable based on your personal preference. All of this can be done through Moen app.
LG UltraGear – RGB Gaming Speaker
LG's latest gaming speaker features customizable RGB lights to bring a cool gaming look to your desk. I think this is one of the coolest gadgets you could have under your monitor.
The sound quality and bass are really good. You can also customize your sound profile. The speaker also features a microphone that has surround noise cancelling and echo canceling features. This is perfect if you are a streamer/multiplayer gamer who uses voice chat a lot.
The speaker pairs with your smartphone and can be operated with LG's app.
Degrii Zima Pro – Pool Cleaning Robot
Zima Pro is a smart, radar-powered pool cleaner that is capable of cleaning up to 5000 sq. ft. pool on a single charge. It is a smart device that connects to WiFi and can be operated from your phone.
Equipped with radar, Zima Pro can map everything around it and move efficiently. With the help of powerful suction motors, it can climb and clean walls too.
Not just that, the product is also equipped with a filter that can purify the water while cleaning the pool surfaces. This is very useful.
The smartphone app lets you do many things including controlling the robot manually. There is a cool, RC mode too. This is mostly for kids to have fun with the robot.
Degrii Zima Pro is said to launch on Kickstarter sometime in Q1 of 2023 and the price is expected to be under $1000 which is a deal.
Loba – Smart Pill Organizer
Meet Loba, a smart pill organizer that can not only organize your pills but also notifies you when it's time to take them.
Loba has LED lights around it which makes it look really cool. The lights also serve another purpose. When it is time to take a pill, the color of the lights changes. So, it is like a visual indicator. Did I tell you it connects to WiFi and comes with a smartphone app? You can also control the color of the LED lights, schedule pills, etc.
The organizer can hold 7 pods in total. Each pod has 2 sections, one for the morning and one for the night and can hold about 10 pills.
The pods are easy to carry around. So, if you are traveling, you can just take the pods with you.
The app is free but there is also a subscription that users can choose. Loba uses USB-C
Pact Muscle Scanner
Pact is a smart scanner that measures the mechanical state of your muscles. By calculating the stiffness and damping of muscles, you will know if there is any asymmetry between your right and left sides. Not just that, it will also give you recommendations on how to fix it.
Pact connects to your smartphone and comes with an app to control it. The app also shows you where to put the scanner and how long. Note that for accurate results, you will have to place the scanner on the exact same spot on each side of your body. For example, if you scan your left bicep first, you’ll have to put the scanner on the exact same spot on the right bicep as well.
The battery life is about 4 weeks and it is rechargeable (takes about an hour to recharge). Pact muscle scanner is best for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

Ampere Dusk Sport – Tint-adjustable Sports Sunglasses
Ampere showcased their latest Dusk Sport sunglasses during this CES show and it is a cool one. These glasses feature tint-adjustable lenses. You can either change the tint of the glasses yourself or have it set to the automatic mode in which, the tint automatically changes based on the light around you.
Dusk Sport also features a directional speaker that projects audio directly to your ear while keeping your ear open.
When I tested, the audio quality was good. I liked it. There is a smart voice assistant built-in too.
Dusk sport is best for outdoor enthusiasts including bikers, skiers, surfers and many more.
The product should retail in Q2 of 2023 and is expected to be priced at $299
