Jackery has been in the portable power market for years now. Some of their models like Explorer 240, 500 and even 1000 sell like hotcakes. Look at the number of reviews they’ve amassed on Amazon, the highest of any power station brand.

Design
Explorer 1000 Pro looks a lot sleeker and more aesthetic than the previous model. I really like the matte black look. All the Pro variants feature an aesthetic design. During CES 2023, I spemt a good amount of time exploring Jackery devices at their booth and one thing’s for sure, their build quality is top-notch. Even the cables are rugged and built to last.
Explorer 1000 Pro weighs 25.4 lbs / 11.5 Kg. You may compare Jackery products with other brands and you’ll see how lightweight Jackery power stations are.
Battery & Power
The Explorer 1000 Pro features a 1002Wh battery capacity and 1000W power output. You also have 2000W surge capacity. These metrics are good enough to power most consumer electronics.
The Lithium-ion battery has a lifecycle of 1000 cycles to 80%+ capacity. This is a massive improvement over the old Explorer 1000 model.
Charging
Explorer 1000 Pro supports 800W solar input which is great. You can either use fixed panels or a portable panel with it.

Smart Device
This power station can connect to the internet and can be remotely controlled. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Jackery app will let you check the status of the device such as battery level, time, output/inputs etc.
Explorer 1000 Pro features an upgraded display that shows metrics like voltage, frequency, discharge time, wifi, etc.

My Thoughts
This is a much-needed upgrade. The battery improvement is all I need to choose this variant. Remember, this is their mid-size power station. 1000W is good for basic use such as emergency power backup for home/office, powering outdoor equipment, road trips, RV, mobile workers, etc.
However, this power station is not suited for power tools, motors and pumps. If you are in need of a high-end solar generator, go with Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro, it is a great product
